1. Expo Staff Fly Box

The Expo volunteer staff includes many talented tiers and fisher people. This year many of them teamed up to donate some of their personal flies to share with you. Don’t miss your chance to collect some tried and true secrets from some dedicated fishers.

2. Bill Blackstone “Creepy Crawly” & Gary Barnes “Froggie”

Bill Blackstone received the Buz Buszek Memorial Award in 1985 for dressing realistic patterns of virtually any kind of insect. Not just world class, Bill is recognized as the best anywhere in dressing realistic patterns. Show Bill an insect, and he will match The Creator in its form, if not its action, and he’s even working on that. It is probably fortunate that the fly we’re offering tonight is under glass, otherwise it would have been swatted, stomped, or sprayed with Raid. We thank Bill for his generosity in letting us share his work.

New this year is an amazing deer hair frog pattern tied by our very own Gary Barnes. Gary has been active in the chapter for over a decade now and served as president for several of those years. Gary enjoys all aspects of fly tying from colorful Atlantic Salmon flies, to bass bugs, to saltwater flies, he does it all. This year he has graciously donated an amazing deer hair frog pattern that looks like it is leaping for its life from the jaws of a hungry bass and into your personal collection.
